Apologies for the late response.

From the error you gave it seems the game ran out of memory space in the physical RAM when it tried to load it. It's strange to see that error just for loading a map, I'm not sure what would cause it. Can you upload the map somewhere? If so I can try load the map on my machine and see if I get the same error.

hmm, I am unable to open the archive you uploaded. It says the archive is damaged. I tried redownloading it but get the same thing, it probably got corrupt while you were uploading it.

Also, when you get the error, an error log should have been generated in your CI root folder. Can you paste the contents of that log here?

Alright, that link worked better.

I'm receiving the same error as you so it's not something caused by your computer.

I notice your .vo2 file is very large, as much as 10 times larger than any of the official maps. I suspect the problem lies with a bug in the game engine makes it not being able to load maps of that size, which is unfortunate because I reckon you spent quite some time creating a map of that size.

The only suggestion I can give at the moment is that you try to stick to maps that are slightly smaller. You said you had backups of the map before it started crashing? They should give you a rough estimate of the maximum size that can be used.

Our programmer is currently away on a long vacation, not scheduled to be back until some time January. If you can wait that long I can try and check with him if he can fix the problem.

yes the backup work
the map is 50% finished
i have test the map with 2-5 friends

i become next problem Sad

in deathmatch and crystal match
my friends deform the map and increase the complexity
and the map crash later with the same error (ingame)! not when loading

I see, then it is likely a limitation on how much space the terrain is allowed to take in the computer memory while the game is running. (The map itself temporarily grows when you add terrain while playing)

In that case you will have to lower the space box to prevent people from building that kind of large areas as well. As I mentioned in my previous post I can't do anything about this at the moment because I don't have access to the code. Since we don't distribute new versions anymore we would have to make a special exe file just for you that can support the huge maps, and the earliest opportunity for that would be near the end of January.

Yes he is and I spoke to him yesterday.
Unfortunately he's busy with other projects and does not have the time to go through the code of this game in order to find this memory bug so it looks like we can't help you Sad

If someone were to take up on this project some time in the future then yes, it would probably be fixed. Don't have your hopes up though, it doesn't seem like it will happen in the next couple of years.
