I Feel The Rail-Gun Is Far Over-Powered, One Hit Kills With Instant Hit And Quite Quick Rate Of Fire, Lots Of Shots Per Clip, And More... It Needs To be A Lot Less Powered. Like, One Shot Clip, Slower Rails And Crosshiar Only When Useing The Scope, So Doge One Shot And They Can't Fire For 3-7 Secs Just Long Enough To Kill Them, Or Build A Wall...

I don't think it requires such a heavy nerf. Maybe a small one. It's only a one hit kill if you haven't picked up any extra health or armour. The rate of fire should be reduced, but all the other modifications the original post is suggesting are over the top. The gun still needs to be useful after you nerf it, especially considering its high priority on auto switch(which should probably be off by default).

How about head-shots or something so you can only kill them in one shot if your good enough. Also you might want to think of someway to stop the railgun from being able to be quick switched (switch to another weapon and back again so you don't have to weight for the weapon to be shoot-able) as that would make any reduction in the rate of fire useless.

That's A Good Idea Taza... Or A Damage Boost If You're Further Away From The Target... There's Lots Of Ways To Lessen It...

i'll agree with the headshots, but body shots should only do 50 - 75 dmg, the fire rate should be slower. I do like Taza's idea as well.

I'd be careful of changing too much with the gun at once. That's a good way to lose control of its balance completely.

I kind of don't like the idea of headshots. I never get a low enough ping for aiming at the head to be remotely viable(200+ in SWE servers, 100ish in USA).

Ok, then how about the ammo is reduced? Same power, but less ammo, lets say only 1 shot can be fired then u have to reload, maximum clips size of... oh lets say 5.

Maz clip size 5 would make the gun useless in many games. Cause you would be forced to spend more time finding ammo than actually fighting.

The railgun was tweaked abit in the 1.10b patch. Try it out and see if you find it more balanced now.

The grengun might be a bit to powerful now. The problem with the grengun is that it is a good highping weapon as you don't need to be as accurate. Many now play on servers with high ping so that favors the grengun (as all precision weapons are harder to hit with).
